This course is designed to enhance the skills of veterinary professionals and animal caregivers in recognising and responding appropriately to feline behavioural signals. The course also explores the limitations and appropriate applications of towel wraps and distraction techniques, including when to use FELIWAY® to enhance the calming effects of these methods. Learners will become familiar with a variety of towel wrapping techniques and distraction methods suitable for common procedures.

Additionally, the course covers the critical assessment of when sedation should be considered and provides guidance on safe and effective intramuscular (IM) sedation practices. Beyond handling techniques, the course encourages a welfare-first approach by identifying small, actionable changes that can be implemented in the clinic environment to enhance feline wellbeing.
